Standard Terms & Conditions of Booking

Payments & Deposits
Full or partial payment can be made at the time of booking. Unless stated otherwise on the specific event page, the minimum required to secure a place is a non-refundable deposit of £75 per person with any balance due 3 calendar months before the event start date.

If a booking is made within 3 calendar months of the event, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Specific dates and methods of payment are shown on each event page.

Special Offers
Any special offer prices apply when the deposit is paid during the specified period and the full balance is paid by the specified date. The full price is charged in all other cases.

Once a booking is accepted a confirmation email of receipt of payment will be sent within 24-72 hours.

Final payment
Any outstanding balance is to be paid 3 calendar months ahead of the event unless stated otherwise on the specific event page. If payment is not received by this time we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

What is included in the price
The price includes overnight accommodation in the chosen room as detailed on the specific event page; a breakfast on each morning & the advertised sessions.

Where additional meals are included, this will be advertised in the specific event information.

Unfortunately no reduction in price can be made in respect of late arrival, early departure or absence during any part of an event, nor can a reduction be made in respect of any meals missed.

Cancellation by a participant & refunds
Please inform us in writing if you wish to cancel a booking.
Please note that any such notification is only deemed to have been received by us when we confirm that we have received it. Please email: info@simply-escape.co.uk

If notification of cancellation is received in writing 3 full calendar months or more in advance of the start of the event, then any fee paid, less the non-refundable deposit, will be refunded.

If notification of cancellation is received within 3 full calendar months of the start of the event then unfortunately any payment made is non-refundable.

Participants are advised to insure themselves against financial loss in the event of their cancelling the place themselves.

Liability & Insurance
The instructor’s public liability insurance is effective whilst under their supervision in the sessions. However neither the instructors nor the event organisers can take any responsibility for events outside of class sessions. Participants are strongly advised to arrange adequate insurance themselves.

SIMPLY ESCAPE will not accept liability for personal injury, illness or death; loss or damage of property and personal equipment; or consequential losses or claims sustained by participants. We strongly recommend attendees arrange appropriate insurance to cover these risks.

We recommend that attendees have insurance that should, at a minimum, covers cancellation and curtailment, medical and emergency expenses.

In the event of an emergency medical rescue and/or repatriation by whatever means, the responsibility of such costs must be borne by the participant.

Participants are liable for any loss or damages occasioned to property or equipment provided as part of the booking, as a result of vandalism or negligence.

If the booking has to be cancelled, interrupted, or curtailed due to force majeure** events or circumstances, SIMPLY ESCAPE shall not be liable to make good any loss incurred.

**Force Majeure. For the purposes of these terms, force majeure means any event beyond our or our suppliers’ control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.

Examples include, but are not limited to: warfare and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof); civil strife; significant risks to human health; natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the booking’s destination or remain at the destination; the act of any government or other national or local authority industrial dispute; epidemic or pandemic (including but not limited to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic); labour strikes; natural or nuclear disaster; fire; chemical or biological disaster; and adverse or extreme sea, river or weather conditions.

Promotional material
During the event some photographs & videos may be taken as part of publicity & promotional material. Reasonable endeavours are taken to ensure people are not identified if so requested.

It is intended that events will be run in accordance with the advertised description. However, if circumstances outside of our control dictate, there may need to be some changes.

If for any reason the session leader becomes unavailable, the event organisers will do their utmost to replace them with a session leader of similar qualities.

Participants will be advised as far in advance as possible of any changes.
If the organisers have to cancel a booking for any reason, the participant will be informed as soon as practically possible. Any monies paid in respect of that booking would be fully refunded.
The organisers will not, however, be liable for any additional cost or expense.

By booking a place on the event you are accepting the above terms & conditions.
