If you’re missing our weekends away, or just fancy a mini version closer to home, join us for our first mini escape in Rossendale.


Pilates focuses on the deep stabilising muscles to improve strength and posture. It has a strong mind/body connection and involves precise moves, increasing body awareness.

Yoga works the whole body, helping to improve flexibility, strength and stamina. There are many physical and health benefits – from relieving tightness and greater flexibility to calming the mind. 

Our Session Leaders

Cilla Thwaites has over 30 years experience in teaching fitness and Pilates classes,  and makes everyone feel welcome whatever their ability-level. 

Sensei Tony Mousah is a highly experienced instructor and a 5th Dan black belt in martial arts. He has been practising & teaching yoga for over 20 years. 


Doors open at 10am, with the first class starting at 10.15. We’ll have a short break between classes, and then we’ll sit down for a hearty vegetarian lunch.

Venue & Location

If you’re not local and don’t know Rawtenstall, it’s a friendly town in Rossendale, Lancashire, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. Both the classes and lunch will be in a beautiful large hall in the middle of Rawtenstall.

After lunch you might want to visit the local market or explore the shops and cafes around Rawtenstall. Or if the weather’s dry, you might want to head off on a walk in the hills.


If you’ve been to any of Tony or Cilla’s classes before, you’ll know they give variations for different levels throughout their classes. Get in touch if you’ve any questions (use the form at the bottom of the page).

The food on our Hebden Bridge weekend last year was a real hit, so we’re having the same chef prepare us a hearty vegetarian lunch. 😋

Transport & Parking

Public Transport from Manchester: The X43 from Manchester city centre takes you directly opposite the venue.

Driving: There’s plenty of free parking around the venue, and we’ll provide parking & local information to everyone who books a place.
